The Church of Agios Spyridon is the most famous church in Corfu and its beautiful bell tower, the tallest on the island, is one of the most photographed. St Spyridon is the protector saint of Corfu and he is buried in the church under a sarcophagus adorned with precious stones. The church was built in 1589 and is situated in the centre of Corfu Town.

- The Varkarola This is the name of a feast which is celebrated in Corfu Town every August the 10th with choirs in boats filling the bay of Gaios and singing cantades (traditional romantic songs from the twenties), while fireworks are illuminating the sky
Roda
The developing area of Roda is home to this rustic looking beach. Found close by the local fishing harbour, the beach is made of sand and pebbles along with some rocky areas and is slowly attracting more visitors as the resort continues to grow. Many restaurants and lively bars can be found neighbouring the beach to ensure you keep refreshed during the day.

Mathraki Island - Hire a boat and take a trip to Mathraki Island, just off the north east coast of Corfu. Here you can look at the fantastic beaches as well as grabbing something to eat at the marina.

The Cricket Festival, August - This custom is a heritage from the British domination, taking place during summer time, on the Esplanade Square (in Corfu Town), where there is a huge cricket ground, the only one in Greece. English teams are also participating in these cricket competitions. Anyone can join in.
