Set in amongst the residential area of Es Castell, the rocky beach of Cala Pedera remains a favourite spot for tourists and locals alike. The small cove has a unique U-shape which helps in making it one of the regions most recognisable, and the deep blue water here offers an excellent chance to make the most of favourable swimming conditions. 'Parque de Cala Padera' sits next-door to the beach, which is a safe play area for the kids to play whilst you laze under the bright Minorcan sun.   Read more about this beachMinimise

Situated in a small but growing resort the beach at Punta Prima is a beach of fine golden sand and is one of the largest on the island. Sun loungers and parasols line the waters edge and if you fancy something more exhilarating than sun bathing there are daily beach activities and watersports which are sure to keep you entertained. Although the crystal clear waters are inviting please take caution when swimming especially families with young children as the area can experience south east winds making currents strong at times. The beach does offer a flag system which high- lights the safest times to swim so do take notice when you enjoy the ocean. Not over populated with tourists or locals one of the main attractions to the beach is the fact that it never becomes crowed even in peak seasons.   Read more about this beachMinimise
