The remote Platja de Macarella is considered by some to be one of the more beautiful beaches across Menorca. Its fine white sands swoop round into a majestic horse-shoe shape, while sloping gently in to the crystal-clear waters on offer which present ideal swimming conditions. There are plenty of features to this picture-perfect beach, including a wetland which is home to a variety of sea life, pine clad cliff faces, along with a canyon all offering breathtaking surroundings. Despite the natural beauty of this beach the soft sand can still at times be found deserted, allowing you to enjoy it without distraction.   Read more about this beachMinimise

Situated on the eastern side of the same inlet as the neighbouring beach of Macarella, Platja de Macarelleta is a unique shell-shaped cove which proves popular amongst both locals and tourists. Despite only being small in size the beach has plenty of character which is helped by the thick pine trees surrounding it along with the imposing cliff faces. Fine white sands provide a gentle slope into the cool blue water, which are calm enough for everybody to enjoy. The beach is a popular destination for the gay community in the area.    Read more about this beachMinimise
