Las Salinas, Ibiza
A mere ten minute drive from Ibiza Town, Las Salinas is a world away from the somewhat hedonistic sands of Playa d'en Bossa. As you stroll along the beautiful shoreline, don't be surprised to find yourself sharing the sand with the glitterati, who often enjoy the spoils of this ultra cool beach. A playground for the wealthy and beautiful, the long stretch of golden sand is lined with exclusive bars serving mouth watering cocktails direct to your sun lounger. And what's great about Las Salinas is that you don't have to be royalty to be treated as such.
Facilitated to reflect its image and visitor, the beach has something for everyone with a varied program of watersports, beach boutiques, a diving school and massage tent to name but a few. For a break from the sun and a chance to explore, the coastal footpaths surrounding the beach are shaded by pines and ideal for adventure walks, so be sure to take your camera. The view on the beach isn't too bad either!
Navagio/ Shipwreck, Zante
Translated into English, Navagio means "Shipwreck beach". This is Zante’s most famous and beautiful beach. Located on the eastern side of the island, close to Anaftiria village, the beach is one of the most photographed in Zante. To reach it, you can get a taxi-boat from Porto Vromi (leaving every 30 minutes). Originally, Navagio beach was named Agios Georgios, but when a boat carrying illegal cigarettes was shipwrecked on the island in 1983, it was decided that it would be renamed "Navagio" and the shipwreck still remains on the beach for tourists to visit.
Navagio beach boasts gorgeous, smooth white sand alongside a beautifully clear blue sea. This beach is a definite must if you are in Zante. It will take your breath away.
Praia de Benagil, Algarve
Feast your senses on the natural beauty of Praia da Benagil in the Algarve. This charming beach offers spectacular bathing conditions, complemented by shelter and shade from the elements. Accessed via a steep hairpin road, you will need to be prepared for the limited parking here. Beside this beach there is a delightful fishing village where you can rent a fishing boat from one of the local fishermen, allowing you to fully explore the fascinating nearby rocky coves. Flanked by steep cliffs, this is somewhere to totally unwind with no distractions but a beach bar and restaurant. Facilities include toilets and showers. A car is the best way to get to this beach due to its remote location.
Las Canteras, Gran Canaria

This beach gets very busy in the peak summer months and has developed the perfect combination of cosmopolitan beach life and glorious, glistening waters. For a chilled day out on the sands you'll find plenty of sun loungers and shades for hire and a wide variety of water sports if you feel like something more active. A visit to Playa de las Canteras is a must, and the perfect way to take in the views and the atmosphere is by enjoying a walk along the lengthy promenade, where beach life bursts into action!
