- We stayed at the El Pinar Hotel, on the outskirts of Torremolinos. The hotel was supposed to be of 4* standards. When we arrived the first thing that I noticed was that the entertainment area had not been cleaned from the night before, half empty bear glasses and dirty ash tray sat on the tables, this still was not cleaned by 5.30 in the afternoon. The floor in this area was not swept or washed once during our entire week there. The air conditioning in our room was not working as air con should. The pool had pines floating in it and no attempt was made to clean it. The area surrounding the pool was extremely dirty. The entertainers for children was good at the hotel. Very disappointing destination, but none the less we, as a family, ensured we had an enjoyable time. Torremolinos was too built up for our liking as we would prefer a more authentic holiday without chips and burgers in site. :)
- Useful Tips:
- Over priced restuarants along the beach. Visit the water park early in the day, Aqualand. Bring a packed lunch. Enjoy a walk in the old town part of torremolinos, a tough walk up the hill but very enjoyable when walking down the hill

- lovely place to see, plenty of things to do. fantastic weather. friendly people.
- Useful Tips:
- if you go in August be prepared for the hottest weather ever, plenty of really high sunscreen and plenty of water, if you are a sun worshiper like me then this is the place to go i highly recommend it. cheap to eat out and drink also but best for all inclusive.

- Still not as touristy as other areas on the south coast. It seemed like a chilled and authentic place. Caves are good to visit and beaches are nice and clean.
- Useful Tips:
- Find the little restaurants away from the main streets for nicer food and cheaper food.

- great weather almost all year around. can easily visit many places from this by car or frequent local buses.

- just enjoy the surrounding beauty of this location. and the friendly people

- My husband and myself had a short break at this and I must say the hotel was superb, food and accomodation I would most certainly recommend to anyone and the staff both in the dining room and the bar and reception area 2nd to none. A great experience and would like to go back.
- Useful Tips:
- Oh everything but the Zoo is highly recommended it was fabulous and Fuengirola has lots of good shops with shopping malls and little curiosity shops also. It is also not too far to Gibralter so a trip there is always worthwhile.

- i stayed in belamadena but the other resorts is a bus away the beaches are great plenty places to eat and drink locals are nice
- Useful Tips:
- dont stick to one resort torromlinos and belmadana are so close the harbours great at night

- I have been to Torremolinos a few times now, I love it there so much that back in September 2007 I was packed and ready to move out there, for personal reasons I never made it, but I still go back as often as I can, my last visit was over christmas and new year 2009 and my next visit will be in October of this year and I cana't wait. There is plenty of things to do from beach lovers to shop aholics to dirty stop outs ;) and if you just want to sit and relax or have a good meal then there are plenty of beach side restaurants to visit. Something for everyone, if you fancy a bit of wild like then why not visit the Crocodile park, or if you want to get in the water yourself then there is the water park not far away. I would recommend Torremolinos to anyone :) ENJOY
- Useful Tips:
- If you fancy a bit of karaoke check out Dream Bar, the Marina is great for the night life, lots of Tapas bars for all.

- This was my first holiday as a solo lady traveller & to say I was nervous...! But I needn't have worried! OTB were great & very reassuring & very clear in what I needed to do every step of the way from arriving at the airport & collecting my ticket to booking in for the flight & getting the taxi to the hotel from Fuerte' airport. I then relaxed in my hotel & began a wonderful explorative week on the island. Caleta where I stayed is lovely & the bay is good for snorkelling. There are some nice restaurants & the people are very helpful & there are a good deal of locals who help you by speaking English & teaching you some of their spanish, slightly different from mainland. I had a car & went to cactii gardens, other coastal towns including small fishing ports on the west coast & down to jandia. Roughly I would say each corner of island is 1/2 day trip. The lighthouse "nearest africa" pretty scary narrow road (only 5mins if that) but worth it for the views!
- Useful Tips:
- Get a car and see the island! It has lots of traditional areas and pretty unspoilt in lots of places. Look for things to do by leaflets or word of mouth, there's enough there and well worth it rather than just sticking to one town. Its easy to make a day trip by visiting each 'quarter' of the island and exploring, and you feel you've seen and done something but not worn out at the end of the day.

- bad weather but castle beach hotel in fuengirola excelent very clean and excellent staff would recommend to all famillies
- Useful Tips:
- 1/2 bus out side hotel in to town cost 1 euro each
