It is one of the best places in the world to visit. 2 weeks is just not enough time to spend there. You need a month to see and visit and experience life down there. Fruit in abundans and cheap by the box. There are to many cellars to visit for wine tasting. a Barbecue about every night is not uncommon. Visits to nearby inland mountains is awesome. Hiking routes is magnificent. You just can't get enough of the place. The people there are also very friendly and helpful. A place in the sun for everyone. You will never be sorry you visited Cape Town. Do not forget to visit Robben Island and Table Mountain.
Useful Tips:
Do not do and go where you would not do and go in your own country. Stay and go to well known places. Visit an information bureu and ask for where to go and what you can go and see. Stay ouy of shack townships. Visit small towns and villages further out of Cape Town towards the North.

This is a wonderful winter holiday destination, a very stylish city, packed with tourist sights and wonderfully cheap food. We visited in January and the weather was sunny, in the high 70s/early 80s. Staying at the Victoria and Albert Waterfront means you are very central, and within walking distance of shopping, entertainment and dining options. Have a cocktail at the Cape Grace, one of the worlds leading hotels for only £4, an equivalent one in London would set you back £18. There are many beaches in Cape Town, but the water is cold (its the Atlantic). We liked Camps Bay, miles of sand, with lots of trendy cafes behind.
Useful Tips:
A visit up Table Mountain is a must, but go at the first opportunity, it is sometimes closed due to low visibility. There are boat tours to Nelson Mandela's Robben Island from the Waterfront, but it is advisable to book at least 2 weeks ahead via the internet, otherwise you will be disappointed if it is a sellout when you get there. Plenty of opportunities for wildlife watching - whales in the autumn, penguins at Boulders Beach about 1.5 hours from Cape Town, baboons at Cape Point 2 hours from Cape Town. You can also stroke a cheetah in the Cheetah sanctuary at the Spier winery in Paarl, just 40 minutes drive from Cape Town.

Where else on earth, can you enjoy pure, white power sand, on Llandudno Beach, watching the beautiful Brazilian surfers glide in and out of the waves like white quills on an aqua parchment, yet only a few miles away you can be breathing the air on Table Mountain, devouring the views of the world. (Space Mountain, it 'ant). Every day the sun shines. Every evening it sets behind the mountains like a majestic Lord, whilst you sip the fabulous wines you have been sampling like a pro at the wineries, or turn down the succulent Springbok on the barbecue. You don't need to cook your barbecue food under an umbrella here. But then the orange sunsets, the glorious cuisine, the green, perfect golf course of Steenberg, the fabulous stretches of beach without another being in sight, the countless play areas in the shade that my children clung like monkeys for hours, made it the most perfect family holiday I can imagine. Not a burger in sight.
Useful Tips:
Where to begin? The wineries (just an hour from the airport at Cape Town and hundreds to choose from) Boulders Beach seeing penguins in the wild Cape of Good Hope, for a killer view of the ocean Table Mountain, for a killer view of the world Robyn Island, which everyone should see in their lifetime Chapman's Peak for an incredible, beautiful helter skelter drive Noord Hoek Beach for the most stunning, pink sanded beach that stretches for miles The parade of amazing restaurants at Camps Bay Kirstenbosch Gardens for what heaven must look Hout Bay market on a Sunday for traditional crafts Great White shark diving, not for the faint hearted! Cocktails in Beluga on the Victoria and Albert Waterfront after shopping till you drop there

Magnificent, glorious and beautiful comes to mind when thinking of Cape Town. Truly a heavenly haven, Cape Town is the perfect summer holiday spot, wonderfully created for the nature & wildlife explorer, the finest diner, adrenalin-junky and those in need of serious R&R. It offers a brilliant balance of urban and rural life, with countless opportunities to have fun, unwind in style and tour - all at once. My husband and I are avid adventurers and apart from having seen the popular tourist attractions, such as Table Mountain, Robben Island and many of Cape Town's exquisite beaches - we've also ventured along the Garden Route, making a splash with shark cage diving, bunjee jumping off of the world's highest commercial bridge, canoeing, abseiling, quad biking in the winelands, hiking, zip-lining, even riding an ostrich! Cape Town is the perfect destination to experience an inspiring world of cultures, delicious taste sensations & to grasp the fact that one has another home on earth!
Useful Tips:
There are too many to mention! -Strawberry picking at Polka draai farm in Stellenbosch. -Spier restaurant - definitely a sensational african encounter with succulent tastes, friendly faces, and great entertainment. -V&A Waterfront - for shopping, the Aquarium & you can catch a boat ride after eating their famous 'fish & slap chips'! -The Planetarium & SA Museum in central Cape Town makes for an interesting visit - a very pictureque surrounding indeed! -Beaches, beaches, beaches. What more can I say. Boulders beach stands out for me as there are wobbling little penguins marching all over. Another one I enjoyed is Strand beach, as it has warm waters as opposed to Clifton & Camps Bay's icey waves. -A definite must eat is a 'Gatsby'. A common Cape Town fast food - spicey & tasty and delicious. -The only negative I can give Cape Town is the vagrants, which one must be a wary of. Then again one must always be aware of one's surroundings, no matter what the destination. Enjoy!

Johanesburg and the surrounding area is lovely, need to keep your wits about you but well worth it. If you get a chance to go to Kruger make the most of it, go to each camo, the sites are amazing, and having wild antelope, small as they may be, eatting out your hands was well worth it. Visit the lion park and stroke a lion cub, and feed the girraffe and visit the crocodile place and hold a croc, the kids love it
Useful Tips:
mind the street hawkers, drive with the windows up, they fill the car for you and always let them pack your bags at the supermarket
