Its name evokes splendour and style from times gone by: this classical structure, hosted by a building built in 1879 close to Tivoli Park and Stroget (shopping) and Central Station, is one of the oldest hotels in the Danish capital. Despite the fact that time has dampened the once luxurious appearance of its interiors, its old atmosphere is always fascinating. The rooms are of different sizes and some are less spacious than the average. Grand Hotel was fully refurbished in 2005 and also features an Italian Restaurant, Frascati. The hotel is located in the very heart of Copenhagen, near to the famous Tivoli Gardens, close to the central station and the shopping area. One could not be more central. The rooms have all been renovated in 2005 and are in an excellent condition. They are medium size, but vary in shape. As part of the refurbishment the textiles were replaced so they are fresh and stylish but in keeping with the heritage and period of the hotel. Modern facilities are found in each room in the shape of internet connections and stylish TV's. The bathrooms are in good condition.
