- the hotel was great with excellent facilites lovely rooms and an amazing pool/ sunbathing area. Always an abundance of sun beds and pool were beautiful. Evening entertainment was lovely set in an outside terraced patio, with much choice. Kids club great. Beautiful views out to sea from the lagoon infinity pool. Modern big but not brash. The only fault i have is with the food. Choose bb and you wont be dissappointed hb and you will.
- Useful Tips:
- Dont book half board but definately book the hotel it is worth it. Spa is amazing well worth a visit. If they improve food it should have five stars

- WOW BEAUTIFUL GARDENS, POOLS TO SUIT ALL TASTES AND A FABULOUS SPA ARE JUST SOME OF THE REASONS YOU SHOULD VISIT. WE CHOSE IT AS A HONEYMOON ON A BUDGET - WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! FLOWERS AND WINE IN OUR ROOM ON ARRIVAL AND A FANTASTIC VIEW OF THE HOTEL GARDENS AND SEA. A PIANIST PLAYING IN THE BAR AREA ON A NIGHT,CONTEMPORARY AND CLASSICAL LIVE MUSIC AND DRINKS BY CANDLELIGHT ON THE TERRACE WERE JUST SOME OF THE SPECIAL TOUCHES. THE BUFFET RESTAURANT HAD A WONDERFUL CHOICE OF CONTINENTAL AND TRADITIONAL CANARIAN FOOD. SERVICE WITH A SMILE AND NEVER TOO MUCH TROUBLE. ALWAYS A QUITE PLACE TO HIDE AWAY AND RELAX OR A LIVELIER AREA WITH SOPHISTICATED ENTERTAINMENT.

- FEW OF OUR FAVOURITE MOMENTS; COFFEE ON THE TERRACE FIRST THING ON A MORNING THE BRILLIANT COCKTAILS IN THE BAR EXPLORE THE ISLAND ON YOUR OWN OR ON A TOUR - LEARN ABOUT THE REAL GRAN CANARIA, THE MOUNTAINS, ARCHITECTURE AND HISTORY...DON'T MISS THE BEAUTIFUL FISHING PORT OF PEURTO DE MOGAN AND THE CAPITAL LAS PALMAS. MAKE SOME TIME FOR THE SHOPS, THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUES AS WELL AS THE BUSTLING MARKETS. WALK ALONG THE PROMENADE AT MASPALOMAS AND VIEW THE SEA AND ALL THE BEAUTIFUL HOTELS, OR SIT IN A CAFE BAR AND PEOPLE WATCH... DON'T MISS THE BEAUTY OF THE SUNSET FROM THE TOWER OF THE GRAN HOTEL LOPESAN KEEP YOUR EYES SHUT TIGHT ON THE SAND DUNES - NUDISTS MAY BE AROUND. AND FINALLY.. RELAXING ON THE BALCONY, WATCHING THE STARS AND LISTEN TO THE NEW SOUNDS OF THE ISLAND AS IT FALLS TO SLEEP

- This hotel was recommended to me by my brother (age 27) who has visited three times!. He said that it was brilliant but when I arrived I was amazed. The hotel is spacious, despite it's large size you never feel you are tripping over people. Although the pools are busy they are plentiful. This is perfect for a couple without children as we were able to find privacy and relaxation in a hotel with plenty of children. We opted for half board and it was brilliant. The food is fresh and of a good standard. Great value for money. The spa was the most amazing experience. I never thought I would get my boyfriend in a robe walking around a spa but he loved it so much we went twice. It made our holiday feel very special. This was a brilliant holiday, I cannot recommend this chain of hotels strongly enough. We loved it so much we will be returning in July 2009 to it's sister hotel Ville del Conde.

- The spa & the gorgeous 'top deck' jacuzzi like pools overlooking the sea. Just beautiful.
